A blind Bulgarian mystic, herbalist, clairvoyant and believed to be possessed by paranormal abilities, Baba Vanga was born in 1911 as a child with health problems and wasn't given a name because there was a big risk of her not surviving. But when the baby first cried out, a midwife ran into the streets asking strangers for a name, and a stranger proposed Vangelia. When she was older she was considered quite smart for her age. During WWI her mother passed away and her father was conscripted into war, so neighbors were left to take care of her. And at that time her talent started to show while she was playing "healing" with her friends. Once a tornado occurred and lifted her up into the air. After days of search she was found in a nearby field with sand and dust in her eyes. She felt so much pain that she couldn't even open her eyes. Her family was poor so they could not afford a good operation. Shortly afterwards, she lost her eyesight. In 1925 she went to the school for blind where she learned how to read Braille, work, knit, cook and clean. Her father got remarried and when her stepmother died she was left to take care of her younger siblings. During WWII people visited her wanting to get a hint about their family or friends because stories of her seeing the future and spirits were quickly spreading. A series of important people and politicians visited her like Boris III, Leonid Brezhnev, and Sergey Medvedev... It is believed that she predicted the break-up of the Soviet Union, the Chernobyl disaster, sinking of the Russian submarine Kursk and Stalin's death. But she also had false predictions. She predicted that the 1994 FIFA World Cup Final would have two teams starting with "B". But it ended up being Brazil and Italy. She also predicted that WWIII would start in 2010 and would end in 2014. Her prophecies may seem strange but they might be true.
Prophecies: 2014 to 2016- Most people will suffer skin cancer and other skin diseases, 2018 to 2023- China becomes a world power, 2033 to 2025- Polar ice melts, 2046 to 2070- Any bodies (organs) can be manufactured, 2088 to 2167-A new disease, aging for a few seconds 2170 to 2256- A colony on Mars becomes a nuclear power, 2262 to 2304- Planets gradually change planetary orbit.
